Get an overview of the minks’ weight and wellbeing

Weighing minks regularly takes time. That is why we have developed a mink scale that does the work for you. The scales (weight groups) can be set up in different places on the farm, so you can compare the development in weight to other factors such as gender, type, climate, feed types and so forth. With the mink scale, you are not only sure of an optimal overview of the minks’ weight and wellbeing, but you also get the opportunity to insert your own growth curves as a guideline for both the current operation and future breeding.

Intelligent mink scales

The mink weight group is made up of six weights that can differentiate between male and female minks. The software in the main controls ensure that only weight registrations that match the mink’s age and former weight registrations are delivered into the growth curve in GainOnline. This ensures accurate that can be used in your future feeding of your minks.

Real time data makes for fast reactions

With that many weighings in a day, you get some very accurate and valid data that enable you to act fast. Diseases such as plasmacytosis, fatty liver, bladder infection, “wet belly” and so forth often appear, if a mink’s weight suddenly increases or decreases. This way, sick minks can get fast treatment before they die or infect other minks. The collected data are then sent to the feeding central, so they can change the feed for next delivery.

The mink scale is not affected by temperature fluctuations

To ensure an accurate and stable solution, we have chosen a recognized german six-string weighing cell with a built in temperature compensation unit, ensuring that the measurements from the weighing cell are not affected by changes in the temperature.

No need for manual entries

The weights’ main controls automatically send all data to the analyzing tool GainOnline. The mink scale makes regular weighings up to 100-150 times per cage in a day. This makes our data very valid, compared to other solutions on the market that for example only make 1-2 weighings per day.

All data are sent wirelessly

All data are sent wirelessly with a range of up to 2,5 kilometres, and so do not require any cables. This makes installing and starting the solution easy and you can always report your information, even without an internet connection.
