The feed scale is easily mounted over the feed dispenser, so there is no need for expensive changes to the construction of the chain track or feed dispenser. With our feed scale, all you need is a 230 volt plug, and you will quickly be on your way to optimizing your animals’ intake of feed and water. Also, the feed scale can resist even the strongest of ammoniak fumes and cleaning routines.
Since the composition in the feed mixes varies greatly from production to production, the scale’s weighing canister is designed so even finely ground feed types with a high percentage of fat can slide through the plastic cone without problems. At the same time, the scale can filter out even the slightest external shakings and this way ensure a completely accurate weighing.
The feed scale communicates wirelessly with the analyzing tool GainOnline, and is opreated through the app. By comparing information about the intake of feed and water from the feed scale to the pigs’ weight from our weighing solution, you get accurate data about the pig’s growth, and thereby an overview of the effect of your mixes of feed. This provides with knowledge of when to change mixes to get the best results.
All you need to do is put in the number of pigs and their starting weight into the app by the beginning of the weighing, and you are set to go. Then, the feed scale registers the added amount of feed and water, which goes into the weight group. Based on these data, you get an accurate oversight over the pigs’ FE-values.
