At FarmGain, we have developed a thoroughly tested weighing system for weighing of all tank and silo constructions with support (legs), based on usage of weighing cells. The weighing cells are developed and produced for this particular purpose, and are furthermore designed to work completely maintenance free, even in the most demanding of environments.
All types of weighing cells are sensitive to side forces. The most frequent are changes in temperature, bends when filling the silo, wind effects, and stirring in the tank. We have developed a complete solution that can handle these side forces, so the result of the weighing is not affected.
The weighing system gives a true picture of the silos density in real time, which among other things can be part of the the accumulated weighing group solution, ensure that you are only billed for the actual delivered amount and give you a better overview of the accumulated usage of feed. The silo’s weight data can also be seen by the feed deliverer, if needed.
The mounting itself is paramount to an accurate and stable weighing. With our solution, it is often enough to measure the load on one support (leg). This ensures low equipping and operating costs and makes it easy to get started. Please notice that our solution also enables you to see the silo’s weight on both your smartphone, tablet and computer.
